I completely agree that saying that Franklin isn't a good coach is ridiculous. But the wider context here is that breh is arguing that he shouldn't have been fired at all. I actually like James Franklin, but I think he needed to be fired for his own good just as much as the school's benefit. Him running out two and three loss seasons with no threat of consequences probably never forces him to regroup and make real changes to how he approaches running a program. With any luck, this serves as a reset for him, and he can be better wherever he coaches next.
He can recruit his ass off, but he's not a good coach. Have you been watching them play? He continually loses off bye weeks. Every time you think he's gonna turn the corner the team shyts the bed. They are notoriously bad with penalties. I could keep going.

He's definitely been better than the post Friedgen hires. But, he's getting the talent, the team gets guys into the league. Why can't he win more. These last two losses are some of the worst in his tenure and it's because of the TALENT he's brought in. That's coaching. And they should actually be 6-0 and 3-0 in B1G in the first time in forever. but, let's keep ignoring the obvious.They are 4-2
