I don't get how some people can defend James Franklin? Sure, he's a good coach, but it's clear as day he can't win the big games. Even if the grass isn't always greener on the other side, it's at least worth taking the chance getting rid of him and bringing in someone new.

Not once conference title in more than a decade as coach at Penn State? It's not like he was going 12-1 every year either. He had four losses in five of his seasons there. Some people are making him sound like he was pretty much Saban without the rings.

Even booty-chin O'Brien probably would have done better than Franklin if he stayed at Penn State.

He's definitely been better than the post Friedgen hires. But, he's getting the talent, the team gets guys into the league. Why can't he win more. These last two losses are some of the worst in his tenure and it's because of the TALENT he's brought in. That's coaching. And they should actually be 6-0 and 3-0 in B1G in the first time in forever. but, let's keep ignoring the obvious.
