The sanctions are lessening. There is a chance Penn State plays in a bowl this coming season - but if not, it will be the season after that.

Why would anyone want that job?

• Bill O'Brien has left the program in great shape
• Damn near the whole staff is open, so Franklin can import his whole staff with no resistance
• Big money
• 100,000-plus in Beaver Stadium for every home game
• Rabid fanbase, great program tradition, etc. etc. to recruit

Vandy has won like 2-3 bowl games in their history before he went there, he took them to 3 straight bowl games. He took over a team that had back to back 2-10 seasons, a team that is considered the red headed step-child of the SEC, and at a school were students are more concerned with drinking and hooking up instead of showing up at the games. What he did was amazing.

It would be awful if he threw all that away to go to a corrupt, disgusting, pedo-enabling school like Penn State.
