If it was envisioned as such yeah but this is part of a greater franchise that's been terminated. Doesn't seem like a movie designed to stand on it's own.

To be honest, I don't think a Batman/Superman movie was a bad idea at all. You're right, they did want to do a team up with them years ago before Snyder.

They certainly tried to do too much in one movie but that's not all on Snyder. The executives at the time wanted them to get to a Justice League movie quickly instead of doing all the solo joints first.

Batman doesn't need to always be an origin either, so the main idea of them beefin was fine to me

Not really. The Flash resets things all the time and I would expect that's what this is. They are starting over so what better way to do that than The Flash

I agree Batman/Superman movie is a good idea but this Superman’s identity wasn’t solidified yet. Then they rammed in old Batman. Brainiac was already setup for a sequel he should’ve just suggested that and adding Super girl. He opened Pandora’s box mentioning Batman

I don't see it that way because the executives wanted to fast track to a Justice League team up instead of playing the long game
