Morey is the one obsessed with proving 3s/layups/free throws are the only acceptable way to score. He's built Harden (who was already playing like this since at least his college days but nowhere to this extent) into the very player him and other like-minded people have been salivating over forever.
Morey (and Harden) has also been on record saying the strategy vs GS in game 7 would never change if he had the option to change anything about their strategy, it's ultimately his philosphy that they're running.
Harden plays shameless, disgusting basketball but Morey has always been the problem with the modern Rockets
