My original position

You act like i put >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Melo a great scorer and thats it. Harden puts up his scoring while facilitating for his teaa.

The Knicks miss Felton horriblly because he's the playmaker for the team. Melo doesnt get the others on the floor involved as well as he's capable.

I'm not criticizing him though. He is what he is. A great scorer. Harden Brings more to the table. Both are efficent scorers but when Hardens' shot is off, he still contributes to the team. You dont get games from harden like Melo's games against the Kings, Celtics, or 76ers where he couldnt get it going offensively and ultimately end up hurting the team more than help them.

Not another player i the league i want taking last minute shot than Melp, though. he lives for those moment and excels at them.

Just my opinion.
What about the spurs games ? Or the pistons when didnt score 20? The real problem with this thread is shouldn't you wait till harden gets you into the playoffs or keeps these stats up ? If he can't get you into the playoffs then he's just putting up meaningless stats

Outside of scoring what does Melo do better than Harden?

Is he a better playmaker? Defender?

Is kd a better defender or playmaker than Harden ? ( hardens defense is ok he's not Kobe in his prime so stop it ) and so you agree harden is better than Kobe since he's currently a better play maker and defender :leon: or will you talk about how hardens team eliminated Kobe's team last year ?
Because as of today The beard is the better player

They're comparable defenders. Harden's supposed to be a playmaker, his position demands it. Melo actually does a great job of getting his teammates involved and has been one of the primary dudes on the team keeping the ball movement going all year. Stoudemire wouldn't have gotten off to the fast start he's been on if not for Melo keeping him involved and deferring to him when opportunities present themselves.

Based off what?

Because Allen Iverson, Kevin Martin, Tyreke Evans, Monta Ellis, Ben Gordon also play Harden position, and they damn sure aint playmakers

Only position that really demands it is pg....

Don't ask greatest laker he's alternating between stats and opinions to make his argument. Because using his logic harden is better than Kobe

:snoop:Look at the game(more).

The ones you bolded have better assist "stats" than Evan Turner, ttoo, so i guess that mean they're better playmakers than him?

Durant is the best scorer in the league and an all around elite player. His scoring alone offsets any advantage that Harden has as a playmaker. Melo is no where close to the player that Durant is. So bringing up Durant to prove your point is useless.

Kobe is a better playmaker and defender than Harden.

:skip:you throw out a bunch of ok sg , and ai. There is a reason why ai is a hof and those guys aren't . And any ball dominate guard is expected to be able to pass the ball

He's not an allaround elite player he's only an elite scorer . That's bron because he's elite in every facet . Yes melo is close to the player Durant is he's just not as efficient but he's damn sure closer to Durant than he is to harden .
Kobe is not a better playmaker or defender anymore show me current stats that back that up :pachaha:
