I definitely don't think Harden is worth the max and if I'm the Thunder I'm dangling him to Utah to try to grab one or two of their post players.

Both Al and Millsap are expiring contracts and could conceivably command just as much if not more than Harden.

Besides, Utah's shedding so much money this coming summer that they could max out Harden, still keep one of their extra bigs, and S&T the other one to fill another need if the Jazz play their cards right. If anything, Utah's gonna sit back and wait if Harden doesn't get that extension.

i don't know why they didn't try to package him and perk for howard. they'd have cruised to a title this year. even if howard wouldn't resign, it would've been worth it.

Do you honestly think Dwight would be willing to live in Oklahoma City? :comeon: he don't care that much about winning. It's about lifestyle with him.

let's trade james for horford:troll:

Hell no. Horford is there once we're finally sick of Kevin Love running his mouth

Atlanta is about to throw bread and bytches at this nikka come July.

That's one team I don't see doing that. They already have committed salaries to Lou Will and Jenkins. They'd be better off using that money elsewhere, like SF, C, PG, everything other than PF and SG.

Yeah but Utah isn't one of the franchises that can sit back and expect to sign a free agent so they have to try and do it before the players hit free agency. I could definitely see Utah giving up Milsap or Jefferson on condition Harden signs his extension.

lol@ dwight coming to OKC. People really keep forgetting that the trade was for Ibaka and Harden for Dwight but OKC pulled out.

:heh: everybody and their mama knew Dwight wasn't gonna stay even if they did win it all.

OKC's championship chances don't depend on Harden. they can drop him, pick up a dude and keep movin like nothing happened

Oh of course, but they're a team that's a fringe team that could easily afford to max him out and kinda make him their franchise player.

Now Utah would easily trade Millsap or Big Al to get him (though I think OKC would have to throw in Perk for $$$ reasons and then Utah would decline), but then OKC would not only be dealing Harden over money but then also getting a player they can't keep because of money. It would look odd if they re-upped Millsap or Big Al to a bigger deal than what Harden got.

Lou is a point guard and Jenkins is a role player off the bench. They do need a 3 but I don't see 1 coming off the books that's a max player.

A 3, a 5, and a brand new bench. Spending on Harden would be unnecessary. Lou at least for this year won't be playing any PG as long as Teague and Devin Harris are there.

Besides, if they want a 3 that could be a max, they could always just try to re-up Josh Smith.
