Seems to me his ball dominant way of playing has changed. If they told him he could play like he did in Houston KD would be pissed. He needs to quit being passive and get aggressive. Attack and slash the fouls will come. Didnt like his game in Houston but he put up #s... the calls aint changed that much he just aint having as many opportunities to draw fouls like that

No one not even players from that era would agree with the nonsense in bold. It’s just nostalgia and gives people bias. I’m glad offenses aren’t far more advanced and there’s more talent.

Talent is about equal. There's give and take. More players have handles, but less know how to get to their spots. Better outside shooting, but don't know how to get open. More athletic, but less rebounding and shotblocking. No one can make an entry pass, or move without the ball.

Hell, they play a zone...and you used to learn how to beat zones in HS and definitely college. They aren't even running a matchup zone like John Chaney's Temple.

I think he's definitely affected by the new rules. Getting to the line as often as he's used to helps get him in rythym, helps the overall feel.

But I also think that he needs to get into playing shape. It's too early (IMO) to judge.
