Kerry is right everyone no matter what their place is in society has a story to tell on screen but for us if we display dignity, strength, respect and honor in roles with a great performance, Hollywood does not acknowledge or award such achievements. Prime example is Denzel not winning anything for Malcolm X or the Hurricane, Angela Bassett for playing Tina Turner, Pam Grier for Jackie Brown movies like the Great Debaters, Do the Right Thing and other black movies are snubbed.

Angela Bassett turned down Monster's Ball and we haven't seen she plays a bad role, she always play the same sh!t roles, a good woman, a strong black woman. She is a good actress but she has too much pride.
