I think part of it is that she is super low key and even in her prime was not a big self promoter...

Also her music leaned in adult contemporary, she didn't have the monster hits that got play across the board and stuck in the average listeners head....Her fans are mostly fans who appreciate the art from what I see...Their the most loyal but they don't have the #'s.

She has about 4 songs that play at every grocery, department, retail stores. And every Soft Rock station in this Country.
