I'm wondering how those officers are going to be treated when they return back from work knowing their brothers/sisters in arms reported in and they weren't there to fight along side them.
When everyone daps each other up and reminisces about shutting down an entire wave, they'll feel on the outside looking in because they weren't there. Those war stories are what bond some people together. Going to be awkward.
I think that's one thing the far right underestimates as well when they think cops are going to step to the side for them.
When it comes down to the job as a cop or soldier, there's really only two outcomes: you're either fighting with your unit or you've ran.
There's camaraderie for the cops who showed up regardless of their political alignment to know them and their comrades deflected this:
