The sad part is you might be right.
Japan has always been ahead of us when it came to trends. I’ll never forget in elementary school before cellphones were as common as they are now a girl in my class told me in Japan kids have cellphones. Years later, it was normal for kids to have cellphones here. Also, Japan has been using cellphones to pay for train fare for years. Now the MTA is planning on implementing that in NYC.
I’m sure there are more examples, but I won’t be surprised if this sex robot thing really does become the wave.

Yeah, though Japan has it share of weird stuff this is extreme. Like the articles written about a BM with 20 baby mommas. It happens and out of wedlock births are an issue, but it is sensationalism.
For real though, Japan has a crisis. Sex is on a decline as measured in surveys (and I think condom purchases as well) and marriage is on a huge decline in young age groups. In Japan a kid out of wedlock is a big no-no so it's not like chicks are getting knocked up either. They are on irreversible population decline for at least a generation right now.
One of Japan's issues versus other Asian males in Taiwan, HK etc. is that if the local women won't fukk with them, people in Taiwan and HK can just go to mainland China and get a chick. Japanese technically could too but there is a lot of historical animosity. That being said, a lot of old (50+) Japanese men are importing young brides from China and Southeast Asia now.
