This. There was some sort of music festival I randomly walked into while visiting out there in May. I seen Jap-canos and was surprised. Low-riders with the hydraulics and everything. But like you said Japan has a lot of sub-cultures western influenced. They loooove music from the 90's out there.

On the same note, I think japanese culture is copied and imitated around the world way more than the japanese imitate western subcultures. You see anime lovers, manga, girls that dress up in weird shyt, etc.
