The show's in a week and a half, they run in the same arena ROH did here (arena holds 1000+) and they only sold out the first two rows

Tana vs AJ and Okada vs Swagske as the main events for Sumo Hall is very smart. Still don't know what the fukk they are thinking booking so many consecutive shows in Tokyo and OD'ing with Sumo Hall but at least they are giving it a shot.

The main event to Dominion was amazing. All the counters and signature moves were just dope.

Also Kushida made me a fan during the Jr heavyweight match he channeled his inner-bret Hart and made me start rooting for him.

This was what was so great about the ME: just about everything either guy hit had to be hit on the second or third try due to how well both knew one another. It wasn't as bombastic or move-crazy as some of their other matches (other than that BATshyt apron DVD bump Styles took), but it made up for that with some really nice storytelling. And, as everyone said, the finishing sequence was nothing short of fantastic.

I'll have to take a look at the rest of the card over the week; I'm hoping that everything is as good as people here say it is.

Oh, and I'm loving the G1 and ROH match announcements. Should be a good next couple months or so for us Puro fans.

I didn't think Cena was nearly as bad as he mentions either, his punches are always terrible but not sure about the rest of the stuff he says.

But really, they're trying to have a second "big event" of the year aside from WK in the Dome. They were running 2-3 shows a year in the Dome for about a decade. They gambled on the Seibu Dome last year and did 18k, but given the building that was a disappointment. I think they're trying to zero in on just how big they can go with making the G1 a serious money maker for them. Using the roster they have to hit Sumo Hall with three crazy shows back to back might be it.

The real crazy thing is they're running there three shows in Sumo Hall and then a week later is Peter Pan.

That week is gonna be a real heat check for the industry in Japan

lmao at how much he struggled to say everything but that match was sloppy and wasn't any where as good as their WK9 match

Not fair though. Dave's NJ dikkriding is insane, and I didn't like the Makabe/Ishii match, but to compare a Cena/Cesaro match which is obviously going to be all about clean execution and cool spots versus a super stiff, violent Ishii/Makabe match that's going to be all about hitting the fukk out of each other, and giving Ishii/Makabe credit for it being sloppy actually heightening the spectacle, versus Cena/Cesaro trying to do cool shyt and outright botching and it hurting isn't straight up.

The example I'll use for this is Joe v Necro. They both a bunch of shyt in that, namely the exploder off the apron, but that shyt actually makes it all better because it becomes this ungodly, visceral thing you're cringing through, versus guys in a jr heavyweight spotfest blowing springboards.
