It also doesn't help him that his record against Okada is 1-1-1 so a W would put him in front - and he would have to pin/submit the champ TWICE in a match - and we know how Gedo feels about that kind of stuff

But I mean, Okada already doesn't have any more legit challengers and it's a huge match considering the 2/3 falls stipulation. If he retains then he's not losing it until September at the earliest and there's no one besides Naito to step up and beat him without feeling like Rikio beating Kobashi
