Hm maybe it was. I think there were reports that WWE wasn't going to renew his contract back in March, which they denied, but he's been off TV besides the Andre since. After that random 7 month absence last year, and the 2 years prior of having basically no storylines except when a new champion needed an easy first opponent and otherwise just doing random mid card matches, I'd be surprised if they did renew him when the time comes. They've had no interest in him and he's had no interest in working, very weird it has lasted 9 years.The article I saw on that seemed like it was fake. Even the pic seems shopped

That clip of Naka learning Meiko's finish was dope. Can't help but think since he's relatively able-bodied, he's on his way back for one final run on top of NJ. There's been so much smoke about his contract in the last few months it's hard to think there's no fire to it. Seems like a when and not if situation.

Kidd has potential that he only reaches when he forgets whatever this gimmick is supposed to be and just hits people hard. You know how Kenny got positive reinforcement for his promos and character work in Japan by absolute dorks for so long that he actually believed he was good at it? Gabe Kidd has people applauding him for yelling "SHIN NIHON MOTHERfukkER" like a generic white bad guy in a budget Thai action flick. As much as NJ needs him to develop into the new monster gajin, he's probably going to be ruined forever if he stays there too long.
