He played 12 years and he isn't that good anymore. Why is this surprising?

Yeah this isn't some guy at or even near the top of his game walking away and making us all say :dwillhuh:. That said, I do think we will see fewer and fewer guys (outside of QBs) playing "until they rip the jersey off" going forward.

You nikkas are weird, Allen played 12 years, just had a broken foot, and isn't that good anymore. Mayo has ended up on IR 3 straight seasons and had already lost his spot in the Pats linebacker rotation, and when he did get to play again due to injuries he was ineffective. Marshawn could have played more but there really isn't anything suspect about the other 2, the media got you guys fishing to make these retirements fit a narrative.

Not weird brother, just asking questions for dialogue. Isn't that what we do up here? The media doesn't have me fishing for anything. Like someone said earlier, players will try to get all they can before being left high and dry.
