It's not that I'm in any way partial to Jared himself- I'm not. it's just that I don't like living in a nation with the most bloated prison population in the history of civilization. A 15 year sentence should be reserved for the most heinous of crimes- not for paying to have sex with willing 16-17 year olds and looking at naughty stuff on your computer.

Eh I disagree on that one unless they were paying to have the CP produced or apart of a community where they traded/made it.
In that case I think they should just be monitored and given therapy.
It would be irrational to expect a pedo to not lapse and look at CP at least once in their life and I can sympathize with them being born with a condition I never had to deal with.
So if that's all they did and it wasn't what I said above then I believe they should be given a chance, punishing them like that would just prevent many from coming out to get help in the first place, seems way too harsh/inhumane imo.

The only way they should take it seriously and distance themselves is if authorities also confirmed receiving a complaint having him under investigation.....and that's exactly what they did. She should have told police what he said about her underage cousin back then; at least have SOMETHING on official record.....

Let's say they did just that. Then the media obviously finds out about the firing and pedo allegations; it becomes a scandal. They do their own amateur digging and confirm that Jared isn't even under investigation at that time and never had a police complaint made at the time of the firing, and that he was only released because some woman he cheated with called him a pedo. Not only is that a bad look for the company, that's grounds for a lawsuit
