I don't view DEI as this though. It's largely just a marketing ploy for corporations to look diverse so that consumers - specifically white women, gay men, and black women - feel comfortable when purchasing their products. Similar to why oil companies run ads about global warming being one of their concerns lol.

I work at a major financial firm, I'm involved in management/hiring and we have a DEI program. It's run entirely by white women who use it to recruit white women. Meanwhile when I told people I was going to go directly to black accounting/finance clubs at local universities to recruit, those same white women asked me "why?" That sums the whole thing up to me.

Anecdotally, the DEI programs I’m familiar with recruit black people.

Yup, people are acting like they don't remember how negative Bernie was portrayed by traditional media in favor for Hilary Clinton, and how those viewers of traditional media are the main demographic of primary voters (older people 40+).
