There are black people willing to do unsavory jobs in eveything from sanitation to housekeeping so long as the pay is adequate.

not sure why the internet swears we wouldn't do agriculture While some of us are out here cleaning toilets.

This.

They used to also say black folks didn't want to do construction and landscaping and hard manual labor jobs. Now Latinos got those industries on lock making millions and black folks are complaining about being boxed out.

We're supposed to ignore how Black farmers were systematically damn near eradicated and still face major hurdles. And now it's, we dont wanna farm
That's not what she's saying, and it's annoying to see people ignore her record of supporting Black farmers when she's actively co-sponsored and introduced legislation specifically aimed at addressing the generational harm Black farmers have faced.

Heirs Property Relending Program Progress Act:

A program meant to help families resolve land ownership disputes common among Black farmers. Heirs property is a major cause of Black land loss, as it occurs when land is passed down without a will, leading to legal and financial complications. The Act streamlines access to relending funds and removes burdensome administrative obstacles, making it easier for families to secure their land, access credit, and avoid forced sales. Jasmine Crockett co-introduced this bill to ensure the program works as intended for the communities it was meant to serve.

Justice for Black Farmers Act:

To addresses the USDA's long history of discrimination against Black farmers. It creates a land grant program to provide up to 160 acres to eligible Black farmers, offers financial support for training and education, and ensures strong civil rights protections within the USDA. The bill also funds programs for debt cancellation and provides legal resources for farmers dealing with heirs property disputes. Jasmine Crockett supports this bill as part of a broader effort to restore land and economic justice to Black farmers who have been systematically excluded from federal support for generations.

She is also a member of the House Agriculture Committee, and has prioritized funding and policies that help Black farmers and address long-standing inequities. And listening to that excerpt, it's obvious she is not talking about it in the way you're taking it. It sounds like she was contextualizing her remarks within the history of Black labor exploitation in this country.

Her words weren't about demonizing anyone but about pointing out that the agricultural jobs migrants fill are often ones that the broader population, including many Black Americans, won't take, despite the historical context of forced labor. It was a broader critique of the way the system continues to rely on migrant labor for these jobs.

Why do we let bad actors turn us against good politicians?

Her point was these cacs expect black folks to be in the fields doing the jobs illegal immigrants do. You c00n ass nikkas don't even get the got damn point though and had to be quick in here to hate on the sista. Same nikkas be GHOST in any Trump thread or any thread shytting on Republicans.

FBAs were enslaved in the field doing those job way before those illegal immigrants and were getting paid ZERO DOLLARS AN Hour.

The average pay for these illegal immigrant farm pickers is $16-17 Dollars/hr, that is way better than getting paid ZERO DOLLARS AN HOUR

What she said was stupid.

Speak on the application process

The application process is just like the application process when you tried to be a mentor to young Black boys and the 100 Black Men rejected your stupid ass application lol. They knew you were a clown and still are a clown lol.

The 100 Black Men said 'no we do not need this poor example of a Black Man around these young Black boys' LoL.....I never seen some shyt like this, how are you a Black man and get rejected from being a mentor to Black boys, you have to be a real life clown lol.

I tried to join 100 Black Men back when I graduated and them b*stards didn’t even acknowledge me to say no. I’m glad now :pacspit:

Her saying "not trying to go farm" is not what she was saying.

She's using ebonics and saying "not tryna farm", as in like, "I ain't tryna go back to a plantation", "I ain't tryna be picking cotton"

It's pretty clear she's not chastising us for not farming

Bro

Housekeeping and Janitorial work is a different ball game compared to agriculture

Yeah, I applied to 100 Black Men cause it was actually of interest to me. No, I never heard back. I can speak to that experience.

Is farming of interest for you? Any one you know? Whats so hard about speaking on that?

You never heard back because your a clown lol.

I always had and still have an intrest in farming. I made this thread back in 2016, talking about 46 BLACK OWNED FARMS AND GROCERY STORES TO SUPPORT:

My interest in farming extends out into fishing and hunting, I learned this from my family and they are from Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. They all fish, farm and hunt down there, also when I was in college I would travel down to outside of Baton Rouge and work on my grandmother's farm:

I'm into hunting, fishing and etc.

I watch hunting and fishing videos, even cleaning/skinning videos

Bo Jackson Hunts:
