Ya I’m with @mastermind

At no point was Jason Kidd ever in best in the league conversations. He was always given his flowers as a very good PG, an All Star caliber player, but yall overdoing it with that. That never happened
At his peak, who was the best PG in the NBA? Who was a better defender and rebounder at his position in the NBA?

He was in the conversation as the BEST in various categories in the early 2000s. "Best Player" is different, but let's not diminish how nice Kidd was. Even just saying he was a "very good PG" is disrespectful" as fukk.

Do you hear yourself? So saying he was a very good PG, all star caliber player is disrespectful now? You’re talking about something that neither of us is saying. At no point was Jason Kidd the best player in the NBA, which is what we’re replying to

For a good 5-6 years kidd was always top 10 in mvp voting, was an alll star, first team all nba, first or second team all nba defense, took a team to back to back nba finals where his other best players were kenyon martin adn richard jefferson

IDK what that even means.
Are you slow?

Who was a better passer, perimeter defender during Kidd's MVP campaign season/prime? Who was considered having higher BBIQ than Kidd? Who was better on the glass at the PG position than Kidd during his peak?

In terms of overall game, he was top tier. His only weakness during that time was his jump shot. He was literally ELITE at every other facet of the game. He's one of the best PGs ever, one of the best passers ever and he was one of the best defenders at the guard position.

Yeah, I'm old enough to appreciate and remember what Kidd was. You can pull the "I was outside" shyt on others, but not on me. To act dumb like you don't know what overall player or overall skillset means when discussing basketball is embarrassing considering how long you been on forums talking about sports.

I value words and their meanings.

There's a clear distinction between 'very good' and 'GREAT' and 'ELITE'. Jason Kidd was an ELITE player and an all-time talent. So yes, saying this dude was just a very good PG when he was literally one of the greatest to every play the position is laughable and I'm calling it out.

Ignore Kerry Kittles and Keith Van Horn contributions brehs. Kidd was really good, no one is denying that. But he wasn’t best in the NBA good sorry. Not jacking that one

Youre arguing with yourself then. Or need to look up words’ meanings and re-evaluate. That’s an absurd thing to take issue with.

1) Look at what you conveniently left out in this list of his talents to be considered all-around. I'm not going to say it, but you know what's not here.
2) IDK what all around means, and I don't care. All I said is Jason Kidd was not considered the best player in the NBA.

I am not tryna diss Kidd, but for a great floor general, he never led a top offense. The best he had was the early Phoenix teams. Some of that is because of what you didn't want to mention in what makes him an all around great player.

That dude is clearly just baiting. Literally nobody had that conversation in the 2000s. Kidd always had respect for what he was, but it was never best in the NBA. Look at his peers in the league during this period and tell me that was a real conversation lol

You nikkas are bored :mjlol:

I need to go back and edit it to elite or add another “very” in front of the first one. Stop playing games, nothing I said was wrong.
