I was fortunate enough to see Jason Kidd play in the state tournament in his senior year at the Oakland Arena. Compared to everyone else on the court, he was on another level. I’ve never seen one person dominate a team sport the way he did.
:wow:

It's hard to explain J Kidd. His effect on the game was some magical realism shyt.I've still never seen another player like him.I just can't think of another player who could make 13 10 & 8 feel like 40 20 & 16.Dude was made for the eye test.Just looking at his stats on paper won't do him any justice.I've seen him dominate games with hustle & energy while only scoring 11 points.I can't explain dude. You talk about situational awareness or being cerebral? He's in the argument for best of all times in those areas.Had a nose for the ball like no other.I can't even explain dude. The game was just different back then.

This was back when Gabriel Union was in the stands cheering Kidd on and he’d make her give him head after each game

Coming straight from a Hall of Famer who was also a top 15 player in the NBA during this time period, but yeah, I'm buggin' from what I said about Kidd.
In 2002. One season. That’s what he said. In JKidd’s prime even with that season, Duncan, TMac, Kobe, Shaq, AI had the superstar convos on lock. Again he was a great player, no one saying he wasn’t. He was NOT ever actually ever seen as best in the league. Sorry that’s a narrative that just wasn’t popular at the time.

This shouldn’t even be an argument. Jason Kidd always had respect because of the type of player he was but yall dragging it.

It’s actually funny yall brought up Kyle Lowry btw. Imagine someone making this claim about him because of his ‘13-‘18 run. That’s an uncomfortable topic :hubie:

I was in middle school his Sophomore year at Cal. I'm not sure why or how I was on the court distributing shots back to the players during warmups... but that was the first time I remember ever being "star-struck".

He was a legend in NorCal.

One of the best distributors of all-time. I always admired and tried to emulate his passing game when I played.
