Halloween 1 isn't that good but Halloween 2 is much better. I don't know about ugly, it's better directed than most of the Friday the 13th movies. Zombie's best movie is Lords of Salem though.

I love Lords of Salem because it's Zombie doing a Polanski movie. shyt was a trip and I wasn't even high.

Jason X has David Cronenberg making a cameo, which is pretty great and probably the best part of the entire movie. My assumption is that everybody involved in the Canadian film industry knows each other so he just happened to be walking by the set one day but what I've heard is that he's always wanted to be killed by Jason, which is a nice little thing to aspire to.

See that is one of the things that I didn't need a practical explanation for...the killer always ending up ahead of his victim in a chase scene is a timeworn horror movie trope that I love.
And building a children's summer camp over an abandoned mine is dangerous, how did anyone ever get the required permits to do something like that?
