I'm not a big MMA guy. Only fighter I ever really followed was GSP. To me bruh was the epitome of an elite fighter and a master of his art. I enjoyed watching him more than Silva.
Now that I got that out of the way...
The question I asked was if she was really as good as she was, was it a bunch a hype, or was the rest of her comp just that fukkin' bad and one thing Tech and
@LauderdaleBoss school me on was her division was new to UFC and the thing that helped her was being an Olympian and being a very competitive Olympian. Chick won the Silver Medal in the Judo World Championship and Bronze at the 08 Olympics. So its hard to say that the woman cant fight. But the newness of the division kinda leads to a bunch of
@Walt points. Like, do we really know how good she is.
Another thing that they pointed out to me was she basically got caught up in her on hype which kinda leads to a point made by Walt. She was a 20-1 fav against Holly so she pretty much decided to try and fight Holly at her own game. Holly is a boxer/kickboxer. Ronda is all world in judo. Stick to what you know playa.
Most importantly, I think the biggest point is that we didn't really know what we had with her and I think it was mainly due to the newness of women fighting in the UFC. So I believe there was a bunch of hype but I also believe that she's a world class fighter with world class skills. The problem now is that her division has grown and the fighter are much better now than they were a year or two ago.
