Sometimes having a person to get you in the door can make the biggest difference in the world. Everything isn't simply cut and dry like that. If someone helped get you the opportunity to have the job of a lifetime would you be so quick to shyt on that person and throw them under the bus? Bo isn't defending Whitlock, he just doesn't address him and his shenanigans. Dude disagrees with him blatantly with his opinions contrasted with Whitlock's.

Bomani is smart enough to where he can rip into Whitlock's arguments without actually having to rip into Whitlock. Unless he thinks thats a game he can't win (playing it like that).

I've always thought Bomani's politics and opinions leaned more towards Whitlock than people think. He rails against black male athletes very harshly and often before any evidence of any wrong doing; doesn't speak up in any questionable case involving women, and let a white Cuban bash Kapernick because of a t-shirt.
Most recently, he questioned the actions of a black security guard who removed a white supremacist woman from a store while glossing over the fact she was belligerent and calling people the N word. If that's not Whitlock, I don't know what is
