I think this is great, Whitlock is a fukkboi, and ESPN has been absolutely fukking terrible (barring Dan and Stu) so hopefully he knows where the bodies are buried and he exposes a lot of sh1t, all while burning bridges. Win win for the consumer.

Nah. It's a service you buy. You pay X amount a month and you get access to a server that has X amount of Speed and X amount of storage space...
Then you download or stream whatever you want to your seedbox...if you want to move it from the seedbox to say your own fileserver you need to ftp it...but now there are plugins that will allow to just stream whatever you want as it downloads to your seedbox...
There are plenty of apps out that let you control your seedbox from your phone though...but I have mine set up in a way that is fire and forget so they don't really do anything for me

You and I know what the deal is. We know Howard and deadspin go for low hanging fruit. Deadspin loves to beat their chest that they go against the grain compared to folks like ESPN but they still love that low hanging fruit just like ESPN to get that website traffic.
