nearly done reading this and i'll say this: anyone who throws out everything he's saying simply because it's him is way too committed to taking sides when there are no actual sides to take.

He's one that you cherry pick. A broken clock is right twice a day....but he lacks consistency and certainly principles.

Thats true, but SAS is on a much bigger venue. If he saying listen to his show, he got a platform to reach millions on national tv. Plus say what u want about SAS, but he is a national figure. Nobody gonna search for this fat clowns blog to hear him type some psuedo-intellectual bullshyt to hear him cry about being fired. Whitlock aint got that kind of notoriety. This was the biggest pulpit he was gonna get. AM radio at the mid day, he made it sound like he was going out like Pac, but folk seem to say he said absolutely nothing

Also, I believe sports offer us the best model for addressing a multitude of problems. Sports are not perfect. But the leadership concepts and work environments found in sports work far more efficiently and fairly than the typical corporate workplace. There’s a reason the NFL is a superior American business than most everything else. HBO’s “Hard Knocks” illuminates the transparency, direct communication, accountability, self-awareness, thick skin, urgency and results-oriented decision-making that permeate high-level sports teams.

This negro is so fukking basic. Good lord. He has nothing of substance to say. He should be running in the Republican primary right now.

My critics will likely allege The Explanation 2.0 (Wednesday’s radio/TV interview and this blog) is self-indulgent defensiveness. I disagree.

Breh!

i guess i cherry pick everyone, then. he undermines himself with stupid shyt like that column where he rips serena. but, i see that in everyone i read and watch.

i sat and watched jamilah lemieux shyt on a black republican, questioning his blackness, simply for being black AND republican, and then act like she was dying when her employer (ebony mag) forced her to apologize to the guy, like she did nothing wrong.

i watched melissa harris perry do the same thing after partying on romney's adopted black grandkid and then pull her hands back, like "it wasn't me, it was the guests. we was just playing!" (uh huh...so was don imus...everybody be JUST PLAYING...and everybody got a right to outrage-flop and FORCE you to apologize, too)

i watched coates unravel in his back and forth with chait and give a half-assed mea culpa when he attributed things to chait that chait did not say, like "oh, nah, fukk that...facts don't matter...what about this horrible ass history tho, WHITE MAN?" and chait bowed out, because he KNEW the deal right then and there.

and i respect these people and what they do. but, these people are not a single argument and i don't base my opinion of them as people on a single issue. i agree on some stuff and disagree on other stuff. i can leave it there. it ain't even that serious. but, somehow it's become that serious, because people have become BILLIONAIRES by highlighting opposing ideologies in the internet age. the internet USED to be great for those who WANT to be informed, but with these new platforms that emphasize reach rather than information. you get a cysed ass headline and bullet points and then you have to go SOMEWHERE else for all the details. so, now, people are getting more ill-informed FASTER. the amount of idiot group-think on twitter is unnerving. and then when you come with some facts that disrupt the prevailing narrative, you're the "c00n". Like, I gotta read police reports and case files now, because these sites be too lazy include everything.
