Ya'll better get on that Qlikview, Tablaeu, and Javascript. RIght now with data, its about helping people see their data right, so being a web developer and knowing data, youll be good for a while. Might need to know R in the future though.Business Intelligence and what I mean by data is alot of corporate places are looking for people that can separate and develop tools for call centers and fiance reports.
Don't worry too much about a 6 figure job. How much you make is mainly a factor of where you're living.Currently in school for Java and J2EE, you just motivated me to stay in school and go hard on this shyt. Salute! Going to start posting on that programming careers thread, I see some brehs on that Python wave too, I do python stuff in my free time currently.
I know I won't be seeing six figures for a while, but I'm a definitely stay on the grind and work my way up there though.

Advice to a Freshman in college?I'm in Intro to Programming learning Javascript and HTML right now.. shyt is easy and enjoyable enough so far, it's just all the time consuming math courses that accompany a Comp Sci major which I don't fukk with.
Any game for a young brother at the beginning of his career path would be much appreciated.
Specifically Information Technology, but I understand that I should probably be in Computer Science. Right now I'm just knockin out pre-reqs anyway so I still have to jump ship and go all in on comp science. The reason why is because I didn't want to get my ass kicked by those advanced gen ed science classes
at this BI and Data stuff.Advice to a Freshman in college?I'm in Intro to Programming learning Javascript and HTML right now.. shyt is easy and enjoyable enough so far, it's just all the time consuming math courses that accompany a Comp Sci major which I don't fukk with.

Have you worked with databases before? Was thinking about moving in to Project Management down the line but I`m kinda likeat this BI and Data stuff.
Where do I start brehs, I`m in Software Dev now, but with IT in general always gotta learn new stuff, been comfortable with my gig and haven't been keeping up with the industry.

SQL in college but that was 3-4 yrs ago. I still know all the logic and stuff when it comes to OOP and Database stuff, heck I read code and stuff now, I just don't do any hands on programming or maintaining of these items. I`m a BA so my focus is mainly requirements, tech doc, and working with the client (they tend to be PMs, Analyst, other Business positions more so than technical guys) directly.Have you worked with databases before?
the thing about being a PM or even a BA is low key you can fit into any company without having to learn the tech fully more so jus get the just of what tech the company uses, the principals never really change just diff methodologiesTo me any monkey can be a project manager.....just means you know how to male spreadsheets and coordinate deadlines.....if software development go bad you can always go into management
