The chameleon of hip-hop IMO, he was influenced by so many producers and styles yet you could still tell it was him on every beat.

But I feel in this particular album (and going forward) he was very influenced by madlib's sound.

I haven't heard another producer in any genre sample shyt backwards, sound so dope and do it twice.
Not that many..
Dil was a certified PETE ROCK stan from the start. Later on he digged MADLIB's raw loops.
(ruff draft and donuts are very Madlibish influenced)
he could out style every producer on THEIR own style

His roots is PR but he could do a preme style beat, timbo type beat, dre style shyt, q-tip beat, etc. Then expand on those and make it his own.

He was a true student of hip-hop production and it showed.

take notice :blessed:

guilty simpson a beast.

"before you spark shyt know the hearts of the nikkas you walk with"

that alternate intro so :ohlawd:

That alternate intro is for real one of my favorite beats of all time. I remember when they used it to advertise the latest season of The Boondocks.
I got this set to start at 19:02

This album is still fresh as fukk

Absolutely. I think The Dough is still my favorite joint on there. I know a lot of people like Crushin and Make Em Envy. That sample/synth shyt or whatever it is is just so bugged out, and The Dough was the first joint from Ruff Draft I ever heard.

Got it set to start on 7:44
