That's on you. I don't listen to leaks then get disappointed cuz I heard shyt early. You hate that you spoiled it already.

These dudes complaining about surprise albums. How you gonna be disappointed by some shyt you weren’t even anticipating
Jay Electronica is an exception to that rule. Goes without saying there goes months and years in between without hearing any music from Jay Electronica, the slightest chance that you get any music from him you listen to it.

Act II was supposed to be released back in 2011 - 2012, It was only released back in 2020 because a hacker forced Jay's hand for him to put it out.

I don't know bout all that hacker shyt. I feel no entitlement to art. Jay disappointed me but he didn't owe me anything at all. So I am not mad at the late drops. I wish we got them earlier too. I don't support the hacker forcing his hand. That's entitlement. Unless you pre paid for the shyt

"Beast Wishes" leaked about a year and a half ago.
I BEEN heard "Life On Mars" "Is Elijah Muhammad Still Alive", "Four Billion, Four Million"

I'm always ahead of the curve when it comes to new music.
Even if that were true, which I doubt, how is 4 out of 20 tracks a good bulk of the tracks? The last 2 you mentioned have definitely not leaked before.

Coli has apparently turned full heel on him, I’m actually thoroughly enjoying these shyts and interested and seeing where it goes…he seems to be putting them together and releasing them as he goes …and has started including some real time social media component on some Willy wonka golden ticket type shyt …I’ll digging the rollout :yeshrug:

Coli is filled with people 40+ years old

9 times out of 10 if anything happens that's out of the norm they're gonna be upset just due to the fact of it not being done in a traditional way, doesn't matter what it is. Old brains reject things that don't match the patterns they've grown accustomed to.

We see how they react when old artist go the traditional route, they love it. Nothing wrong with that but these nikkas never wanna admit to that bias because it sounds dusty and entitled.

You got dudes in here truly upset because they don't "understand" the rollout.....like why does that even matter? Just take the music and go about your day, you don't need to understand why it's happening at all. :mjlol: Save the songs you like and delete the ones you don't, it's really that simple. He'll explain it if he wants to.

Back to the topic: I think this is him getting ready to release Act 3 and all of this music is just the bridge between Act 1 up to now, the collab album with Hov was them forcing Elect to put out SOMETHING, because his original plan was probably to put out absolutely nothing until now and they told him he was bugging, Hov being on those tracks applied pressure for them to be released.m and get people off his back.

I don't think the Coli turned heel as much as the Coli simply moved on. The basic template for these tracks was introduced almost 20 years ago with Act I. What was once mysterious and fresh now seems tiring or uninspired. Diddy can DIAF as far as I'm concerned but I 100% felt him on that intro lol. The tone of that call, him not believing this shyt was coming out...people moved on, man. Once the blog era really heated up in 2010/2011 there was simply too much good music from new artists for me to sit around hoping for one rapper to drop something. He missed his moment. Even the drumless stuff he was doing on Act I....nobody gives him credit for that simply because he didn't drop a full project. And then whoops, here comes Roc Marci with Reloaded and everything changes.

These tracks aren't bad. He can still rap. One of them has a spectacular verse, actually. I'll check Act III if he ever drops it but meh.
