muthafukkas always wanna criticize jay elec for not having enough material because he doesn't have an official album out but he has ~70-75 tracks he raps on and that's as of like 2015 or so. you take the top 12-15 tracks in his discography and compile them and you have a collection of rapping/songs that can go toe to toe with anyone else in the history of hiphop. dead ass serious. jay elec at his peak is one of the all time greats. i don't give a fukk about whatever cornball shyt he may get involved with on social media, i dont care hes dating some ugly white billionaire bytch, i dont care about his opinions on anything at all. i can separate the artists life from their music. his ability to make the hard sound effortless, his ability to weave in religion, politics, conspiracy theory, science, race relations, pop culture etc is damn near unmatched. his flow and voice for rapping are both great, he has a strong presence on the mic. hes able to make battle tracks then flip a story telling track and then maybe a deep introspection track and then some off the wall almost drug induced type shyt like dimethytriptamine then a homage track where he arguably matches the original from one of the best ever in MY WORLD (
