What is a nerdy ass nikka? Are you a nerd because you are on a message board discussing rap with random people? A hood nikka is a nikka in the hood point blank. This other definition is derived from your perception of a certain behavior being the norm of an area and I am telling you it's wrong.
I called myself hood when I lived there because I identified with the environment and lifestyle I was forced to partake in. Being hood is a position in life and not a behavior related to certain actions. Selling drugs, shooting people, and prostitution, which I think you are referring to, is not hood culture and is not defined by the term being "hood" because if it was, then America as a whole is a hood since people do those things everywhere in the country. There is more people in the hood that call themselves hood or identifies as being in these areas that do the same thing you or your parents do; take care of their kids, go to work, go grocery shopping, buy clothes etc than they are people on the street doing illegal activities. It's just that you don't get to see them on your TV-screen or on the newspaper because their lifestyle is not eccentric or dramatic enough to make money off.
If you are black then stop promoting the same stereotypes the major society are by defining an area by the few people you get to see online or on TV.
