Being a great lyricist is too stressful, it's just not rewarding enough imo. Better to be great at just about anything else in life. The people you appeal to (myself included) are far from the ideal "fans".

A producer who isn't hot doesn't have to deal with this type of ridicule and resent.

A media personality doesn't have to deal with this type of ridicule unless they do something wild

A superstar athlete turned role player doesn't have to deal with this type of ridicule.

There are a ton of teachers in the public school system who no longer have what it takes to teach. But they're tenured and they will continue to get paid until they retire.

I'm not mad at the post it's just something I thought about recently.

He said if he does more music it's not going to be because of what other MC's are doing today. He's not inspired by that anymore. He's outgrown that.

The inspiration he said, has to come from finding a new way to do it and when there are things he wants to speak about. He has mad kids and a family now. He's not going to make an album for the hell of it today or because he sees other dudes dropping. He's like Dre now. He's a billionaire and trying to find new ways to impact media and sports. He said he's not even thinking about music right now because there's mad other stuff he wants to do. His last album was over 6 years ago and critically acclaimed, but was about family trouble and emotional sh*t he was going through in his personal life. He's not making music for the sake of making music anymore. People still don’t seem to understand that.
