Why would yall expect him to drop an album? To what benefit? His entire gimmick is that he barely makes any music and won't put out a full album.

This might turn out to be true.

I'm not familiar with Jay Electronica, but I did hear of him some in college back in 2007. So dude hasn't put out an album yet? Doesn't sound like much of a creative process to me unless you want your work to span your evolution instead of being a part of the zeitgeist. But then maybe that is just it.

Falon must be referring too the movie The Prestige, which he sampled before on Act I. Fallon is a character in The Prestige.
+rep for pointing that one out.

the entire album title is based on the movie "the prestige" so that's hardly far-fetched.

yeah, the bars on this are excellent, its a great song. jay elec always delivers, when its one song a year.

but its tough, cuz i feel like the impact is fading. breh is like an urban legend at this point dropping a song a year. and i appreciate when he drops, but i feel like ive stopped waiting. i've gotten used to the schtick.

this joint dropped and i was like, eh, ill check it when i check it, instead of dropping everything to go listen.

glad for the loosie, but im over the rest of it

also, if hes releasing joints like this, that are allegedly like 5 years old and shyt, then i really wanna know what hes doing with his time

at this point, id be more interested in a documentary about what this dude does on a day to day than him dropping an album

someone tell me how he's able to feed his kids releasing music at such a sporadic rate. I'd LOVE to know how he pulls that off.
