That's not true though
Drake publicly said after control he wasn't killing him in any way and that he sent him friend text messages after and acted friendly in person.
He kept openly asking for him to go hard but instead Kendrick put his effort into Sean, multiple times

Drake sent some subs after being directly named. To me that's coward shyt and a clear back down. To me Control was just a friendly tap to start the proceedings. That BET freestyle? King Kunta line about sharing bars? Direct shots. Drake didn't want it.

Nah, he responded directly to me Kendrick questions plainly stating he wasn't better than him in any way, and the bet freestyle was like a month after those comments and Kendrick stil basically kept quiet when Drake was openly asking for direct shots and publicly saying he wasn't better.
Then Kendrick focused purely on big Sean and the kunta line was about ye, not Drake. Kendrick and Ye have had beef since ye did him dirty on tour and basically only added him to help write for yeezus.

lol this isn't even true and further points to the line being about Drake. Kendrick and Kanye did an album together over Madlib beats, during the Pablo sessions. We only got one track. Whatever issues he had about the tour were deaded.
Point being...Kendrick laid down the gauntlet for Drake and nothing happened. Few subs. Now...they're cool with each other. Drake has shouted out Kendrick on tracks and interviews, Kendrick liked a tweet about Drake winning the artist of the decade award a few months ago. It's all good.
