I never said it was a flop, and I hear you on Freeway I was just painting an example. I simply said Jay's management accomplishments are above satisfactory not his personal earnings which are phenomenal. That's a clear fact but ....

Jay's self promo is unrivaled but his management not so much.

He couldn't put on Memphis Bleek, Memph stayed one hit away his whole career. He got handed the DefJam and best of RocaFella Records keys and fumbled. There are a list of Jay failures not many but there are out there.

RIta Ora and them and had to go to court to leave his team. Jay good for himself and everybody else is/are leverage or stepping stones.

Jay's money comes from endorsements others cutting checks and his music/entertainment portfolio. That's amazing but self-made.

Jay doesn't care too much for others concerns, ask confirmed by Oschino Sparks. An appalling Boss who is actually a middleman on his own label print.

LiveNation take half off of all RocNation endeavors. (Any key decisions in change or recruitment Jay needs permission from his Boss)

I hope it dont come off sounding like hate, I think Jay is an Icon though and much Inspiration too. :wow:
Memphis Bleek has two gold plaques and is a mediocre rapper. That’s not an L, anyway you slice it.

Ok so rocnation with their over 10 platinum certified albums and numerous hits the label founded by Jay Z is not a flop thanks for answering.

One bum in Oschino who did nothing in his career hating on Jay Z is the voice of reason but anyone else who he has helped since 1996 doesn’t count? Lol but but I’m not hating.

Fair enough you stay that side I will stay with real observational skills on this side of real talk.

When you can name one star Jay made on RocNation let me know. He got Rihanna already from DefJam and Tiara Marie was who he banked on and gave a debut verse to. Anyway Bro you wont find one act Jay has broke or made popular. He takes rising stars like DJ Khaled and co and puts a RocNation chain on them and not much else.

Props on the views though, I disagree with some of it.

The fact most on The Coli couldnt name me the person in the picture below, shows you Jay's has many skills and the best of the bunch is for self-promotion.

RocNation has Jim Jones, The Lox, Shakira and more I mean come on. There are quite a few of already established acts to boost the labels profile. Decent for attracting new talent but the actual new talent he has he can do nothing for? He will wait for them to blow and then offer to take pictures and hop on records.

Who is this below? Jay had him under a management contract. He should be a household name especially in his craft and how he retired from it.

If we're not singing 'Hovbumbaya My Lord' at full pelt we going to come off as disrespecting. This is just building hiphop knowledge.

J cole lol

I was going to throw that there as a disclaimer but outside J Cole. Which he needs to get flowers for sure from, who is he blowing up?

Rita Ora tried to switch camps. She didn't want to be another Lady Sovereign or Koke.

I hope this is just taken as light banter because if I named you 10 modern day goats. Then Jay would be in there but I am a realist and look at all angles.

If I was to sign a deal it wouldn't be with RocNation for a Roc chain and paper plane cap. Jay would just take all my shine on any project.

You’re not a realist you are a classic hater who hides behind “I’m just telling the truth though”

:dead:

There was another thread when you tried to claim Jay Z flipping rocawear into a 200 million dollar check was somehow a business L and a bad look:mjlol:

It was he gave up 50% of all endeavors music and no music related.

Madonna and U2 got the same deal for more money and giving up less rights. Does that make them a business guru?

Cut that out. :wow:

Look it up yourself Bro, because Jay is now in bed with the upper room it wont be easy to unravel. But it is pretty much a goofy contract taking to consideration he amassed a fortune he didn't foresee. I with only a few more dollars than my post count still wouldn't sign a deal which gives up half of my life to a former fed informant. Dame spoke on this, Choke spoke on this, and others too. It's not a prolific business move a bit lazy in fact. :hubie:

In 2008, Jay-Z signed a $150 million deal with Live Nation, which included financing for his entertainment ventures and live shows for 10 years. He also signed a deal to have Live Nation manage his future recordings, which was similar to Madonna's $120 million deal. The deal with Live Nation involved Live Nation getting a piece of Jay-Z's merchandising, licensing, and touring revenue. It also helped him launch his management company, Roc Nation, which now represents other artists and sports figures according to CNBC. This deal was a significant step for Jay-Z in building his empire beyond music

Here is a link, that speaks on him giving up 50% of every dollar he makes to LIveNation :

HATE HATE HATE HATE

:russ: I thought it was public knowledge Jay gives up half of every coin he makes to LiveNation.

In October, Live Nation negotiated a deal with Madonna worth some $120 million dollars, including slightly fewer rights. And just this week the company negotiated a deal with U2, for slightly fewer rights again--that one worth probably around $70 million.

The question is whether this kind of investment is worth it for Live Nation with the ongoing decline of album sales. It seems it’ll take Jay-Z doing more tours, as well as more endorsements and sponsorships, for it to be really be worth it for Live Nation.

It’s no wonder Jay-Z (real name Shawn Carter) finds this deal appealing though. He’ll reportedly get paid an upfront payment of $25 million, an advance of $25 million (includes fees for his tour), an advance of $10 million on an album for three albums at least during the deal.

Plus he’ll get $5 million a year for five years to cover overhead, millions more in publishing and licensing rights, and another $25 million for “Roc Nation” a company to finance Jay-Zs ventures, which Live Nation would get half the revenues from. Whew, that’s a lot of money!

Madonna took the money and hasn't done sh1t :wow:

Jay building that fed informant a 16 room mansion in the Hamptons doing 830 shows a year and taking 1480 pictures with every new act on a wave to keep his profile profitable!!

Dame and choke are losers who are bitter that’s why they have to hate on Jay Z everyday online to get daps from other broke loser haters.

Jay owns 1/3 of his debut album, 100% of everything 97 on and is worth 2 billion dollars :dead: I’ll take his business acumen :wow:

If you look at @BlackDiBiase’s post history you can see the elevator doesn’t go all the way up with him. He has some weird agenda when it comes to Jay

I will never understand talking about someone constantly that you don’t like. It happens consistently on thecoli

Alright, fair enough. I would even doubt you would sign that contract with good foresight. :hubie:

the majority of the planet couldn't name who that is. Is your point that's a failing on jay z behalf? Ward is not a personality like that there's only so much anyone could do

We heard more about him signing Andre Ward the undefeated Boxer to RocNation sports than we heard about the Boxer on RocNation sports.

He should be way more known, He is not a recluse Ward has his own podcast and is always doing media runs.

Fair enough though.
