The other continents are not very interested in western culture as far as music goes.
Boxoffice for movies is like 80%+ in Europe and US although almost 90% lives in other nations.
The thing is that Jay-z got together with Beyonce in 2002.
He got bigger in 98, 99, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, .... , 2013.
I can't pinpoint which year he made the largest jump, but "interest in his music and tours wise" the jump between TBA and KC was not big, KC and AG was negative and the jump between BP3 and WTT was smaller than WTT-MCHG.
Like I said Beyonce is obviously a variable, but there is about 99 other variables.

A good argument could be given for Asia and Australia, but for the most part, I agree. The point of the matter is if we had to say who was giving relevance to who, we have to say Beyonce makes Jay more relevant than vice versa. I think it's stupid to think either of them wouldn't be relevant without the other though.
I don't know if Beyonce adds anything significant to Jay-z's sales or peoples interest in his music unless the music fits those type of people that could be affected by Beyonce.
As I said American Gangster was not an international success, BP3 was due to great huge pop singles, singles people might've opened their eyes for due to Beyonce.
He's obviously more visible though, girls are always followed a lot more by paparazzi etc and in general to people who don't give a fukk about him like 9 year old girls and 68 year old people.
Beyonce helped his international fame and American for that matter but the extent is vastly exaggerated by certain people. Kanye for all I know helped even more. John Meneilly's bigger role, his money, his corporate moves, Live Nation, his hit-making abilities, hiphops international commercialization, Steve Stout and their whole high performing ad things.. all played major parts.

very true. R&B/Pop is bigger and more accessible worldwide. Plus she had some big movie roles. And the biggest reason is her looks.
Kim K is also more of international star than Kanye.

Bullshyt. Beyonce wasn't that big when she and Jay first went public. How Jay needed Beyonce to become an international star when Beyonce needed a Jay verse on her very first single to make sure her solo career didn't crash and burn. Remember that?

Beyonce was on Jay-Z's first single from Blueprint 2 (Bonnie & Clyde) and Jay wasn't the 'hottest rapper' at the time, because that belonged to 50 Cent.
