This album has gotten better with each listen. At first, I was kinda disappointed because I wanted an album of Jay Rock spazzing on tracks like he did on Easy Bake and 90059 but this album is really well put together and Jay is such a good rapper.

Redemption might just be one of my favourite Jay Rock tracks ever. I’m not even a huge fan of SZA but she did her thing on that chorus and the beat is just :whew:

This album doesn’t really have any lowlights either. It’s consistently good from start to finish and even though I was hoping that Wow Freestyle was gonna be more rappity rap, I still think it’s dope. It does however strengthen my theory that Kendrick is ducking smoke on tracks when he knows he’s working with another dope rapper.

Overall, I give this album 4/5

Listened again at the gym this morning, really like this. I skip "Tap Out", "King's Dead", and "WIN" asides that I like it a lot. I don't hate "King's Dead" or "WIN", heard them too many times. "Knock It Off", "Rotation 112th" & "Troopers" grew on me but not favorites. That "OSOM" video was crazy, TDE always comes through on their visuals

Uh, yes? Is he supposed to be a household name or something that I’m missing?
Are you actually in to hip hop or just the stuff on the radio/club? If the former, then yes, it’s surprising you haven't heard of him, if the latter, well good luck with that. :ld:

Didn't realize how much Jay Rock helped Kendrick get on.:ohhh:

He was the little homie. It's a sign of Kendricks character that he's still pushing for his big homie to win.

You should check out "No Sleep Til NYC" it's a joint mixtape they did back when Kendrick was still K Dot.
