I actually agree with him. It seems clear they look for very exotic looking black people for models. You are more likely to get a modeling gig looking like Lupita, than Nia Long.

and in cases where they don't cast a lupita type, they will get some extremely freckled face gingery looking black person next. Or a black person with a skin pigment disorder that makes them literally half white like a horse. Anything that seems more "unique" to them.

Its rare to see a black model that looks like she could be the girl next door.

Him implying the black beauty should be all inclusive is not anti black

Without using European race science, what is looking “extremely African”

Plus models are no supposed to look like “regular people” —-that’s literally the whole industry’s point
Thats why i said he could've worded it better. But its clear they want black models to not look like the average black person you see everyday
Not just from a traditional beauty standard, but from an african american genetic group standard. I would say the majority of african americans have igbo features.
You are more likely to get a modeling deal with Somalian features like Iman, than Igbo features like Meg the stallion.
But even i might be wording this incorrectly. But anybody with eyes can see there is a trend.

What are Igbo features and how do we know that Megan the Stallion has Igbo ancestry or that her features are the result of said ancestry
Ya’ll know what “extremely African” means.:mjlol:

Explain in words
There is a tribal group of africans spanning nigeria, cameroon, and locales around that particular region of africa.
Many ados americans share the majority of their genetic ancestry with those people and as result, we share similiar appearance.
If you were to visit that region, you might notice the people there like you could have taken one of your uncles or nephews and wrapped them in their traditional garb, and look pretty much like you belong.

Other regions of africa have different characteristics. Sometimes i look at somalians and wonder if they are half black and half indian for example.

I'm not sure if you are feigning ignorance. but i would consider it to be a bit racist to think that all black people look alike.

Lets use asian people for an example to make it easier. This is like everytime you see an asian model they look Korean, Chinese, or Japanese, and he is asking why there aren't as many Filipinos or Indians. (south and southeast asians) Eastern Asian Phenotypes shouldn't represent the beauty standard for all of Asia.
