. I heard a lot of their better songs got cut due to sample clearance issues. Hard to believe since Em's budgets are probably crazy. Cold Wind Blows was definitely the best one they did IMO.

I used to get annoyed when people like Alchemist or Madlib or 9th Wonder would say "I got some things in the works but I don't wanna say anything until it's 100% for sure." Now days it's the opposite. I'd rather not get my hopes up too much.
Premier and Pete Rock kinda fukked up that talking about their collab album too much that never came out. Talking about how they each had 6 beats, and GZA had one with Preem. So did 50 Cent. It's been in the works since the late 00's and Preem is still talking about it. Just finalize it and talk about it or don't say anything.

To be honest, a 10 track Black Milk + Jay-Z produced album would sound better now than a 10 track Just Blaze + Jay album (IMO, I'm sure some ie most would think different).
Neither will happen, but a nikka can dream.
I feel like one of the few things that could truly let Jay go out on a high would be to pull a left-field move production-wise.
A lot of the "originals" (Just, Tim, Preem, shyt, maybe even 'Ye) won't bring out of him what I think he has left in the tank.
I'd love to have heard Jay drop a 16 on something like Quarter Water from If There's a Hell Below, same hook and all
