I always find it funny when people try to say the only reason Hov stays relevant is because of the artists he works with. You would think dude was DMX or some other washed up cat. Nobody complains when everyone else works together, but when it's Hov, he has to be doing it to stay afloat

When you do this,even if your single(s) aren't that great,it doesnt matter cause you're featured on this THAT etc,keeping you in the forefront of the game. Difference between jay and them others i named is that he actually has made (some) great albums. 50 was hot in 05' mainly cause of what he did for game. People were already walking away cause most of the massacre singles were trash (despite where his fame allowed them to chart). he start scrambling for help once he fell off but the fans sees what he's doing so it just looks pathetic. Jay never waited till it was all bad,to start being at all the right places with all the right people. You see popular styles/sounds typically always play out. So you got 2 choices,be innovative with a new style/sound/angle or leech on what others bring and try to out shine them on their ground (jay's a master at this). Where as people like 2pac,kanye were more innovative and risque and it worked. 2pac recorded 4 back to back classic albums on his way to an untimely death. All of them sounded different (THUGLIFE,MATW,AEOM,MAKAVELI). Anyone who doesnt do what pac,kanye,prince dID will fall off unless they're a good leech.

This is JT's huge comeback tour. He ain't hollering at 50 or T.I. for this shyt and he's had HUGE records with both of them in the past. Game won't get a call. Hell, Nelly wants to come back. Why Nelly ain't getting this offer?

Point is, LiveNation knows what's up. Jay is still big enough to co-headline a successful tour of this size. JT can carry it by himself but why not mix the two fanbases/markets together and make more money?

Exactly. This has nothing to do with Nas-stanning or hate for Jay-Z. It's just becoming irritating to see him constantly pairing off with artists in more creative periods of their career. If Jay puts out a good solo album, or some singles equal to his work between 96-2003, I'll be the first one to praise him. But I was not a fan of BP3 at all, and what parts of WTT didn't underwhelm me were blatant Kanye contributions. So right now he just looks washed-up and mercenary.
