Was it the colors or the design of the shirt?

The colors. Black and orangeish/yellow makes up the most recognizable of Cameroonian traditional attire although I’m sure Cameroon’s different ethnic groups have their own traditional patterns/colors.

My best friend is from Paris. He’s Cameroonian and I’ve seen him enough in his traditional attire to recognize it.

OP posted the picture that was the inspiration. Colors are black and gold so not traditional Cameroonian however when it got translated into the drawing it resembles the Cameroonian colors.
