Fu-Schnickens - Stole the flow (can't be disputed)
Young Chris - Stole the flow (can't be disputed)

Chris has disputed this himself.

So how is it not hate if the actual person himself is saying it isn't true? Your hate for the dude doesn't make it a fact.

And Jay was doing that flow in '89-'90, with Jaz. "The Originators" dropped in '90, was recorded in '89. The Fu-Schnickens didn't drop until a couple of years later, bro. So how was he biting someone's flow two years before they even came out?

Like I said, you heard someone else say that dumb sh*t online, and you're repeating it without even knowing your history. Just to hate.

When the first list compiled Of who was the goat In 1999

jay z was the highest ranking alive rapper debuting in the 90s at number 9. That list only had RD vol 1 and vol 2 to base it on. So if he was number 9 with just those 3 album…..

did he use his future powers to be rank so high

  1. Rakim
  2. KRS-1
  3. The Notorious B.I.G.
  4. Big Daddy Kane
  5. LL Cool J
  6. Kool G Rap
  7. Tupac
  8. Slick Rick
  9. Jay Z
  10. Ice Cube

Where did you get this?

Jay-Z is MAD overrated. I hate how fans act like you HAVE to ride his nuts. “Oh you can’t say that about Jay!” It’s disgusting. He definitely benefited coming out the same era as Biggie n Nas. He rode MAD trends & coattails to get where he is. Personally I can’t stand his nasally voice and he make the same song over and over again.

Jay on my top 5 but was biting biggie a lot. Mind you Big passed away at 24 with 2 studio albums.

Big was actually his right hand man though and has songs with him not the fake posthumous stuff either, not many can say that. He can quote his lyrics for his legacy .

JayZ started that nonsense with you kids who are in your 30s and younger.
Lying and talking like he was a equal with Tupac and Biggie.
shyt is funny as hell and why I never will consider him an elite rapper.
He is nothing but mystique and media manipulation.

He wasn't selling like that and he and Dame sought to position him to corporations as a vehicle.

the narrative that he is the greatest also started in the 90’s

x even said it on the backstage documentary

Naw it started in 2003 when Jay started calling himself the greatest and pushing the narrative that Reasonable Doubt was a classic

In the Golden Era of hip hop (1988-1996) Jay was completely irrelevant… that’s what gets Hov & his stans upset

Not to mention his catalog has way too many bricks

All this right here.

People are just on this new sh*t where they're trying to be creative to find new ways to hate. Jay is easily Hip Hop's most quotable MC. Regular talks with dudes in the damn barbershop are full of Jay-Z lines. Dude is up there with Pac and B.I.G. when it comes to influence, impact and classics. So there's literally no way any actual Hip Hop fan who's objective would have an issue with people having Jay as their GOAT.

The actual GOAT's in this sh*t have him as one of their GOAT's.
The issue with this is its all subjective/regional

Ain't nobody quoting Jay z but me and @I'm Blackman in Alabama :manny:

Webbie got more quotables to the average person around here, yet I don't hear him in these discussions

If folks got Jay z in their top 5, it's cool. But don't act like everybody gotta fukk with his music to be a fan of Hip hop. Notice it's never west coast or down south rap in these litmus tests. Always some NY shyt even NY nikkas don't even wanna hear on the radio :russell:

And to pivot, remember that actual goats put 3 stacks in their top 5's but the coli.com says otherwise :sas2:
