yeah it's a great song, and I love Beyonce on it, who I usually find bland, but Jay's verses..they could have gone on any R&B/Robin Thicke/Pharrell collab, throwaway relationship Hov verses, and Beyonces sings from her heart about dying for her man and professing her love, and Jay just sleep walks threw it with a 2 Chainz flow. I love the track the same though...

Those lyrics were specific to that song. He couldn't have just thrown them on any R&B collabo (don't even get what Robin and Pharrell have to do w/ it). He's also professing his love for Beyonce.

As far as the flow, yes, it's borrowed, but not from 2Chainz. Jay made that obvious. He even gave a nod to whose flow he borrowed in the song.

It's not a bite if he acknowledges it though. He gave credit to whose flow he used in the verse. Even without him saying it, it was quite obvious. It definitely wasn't 2Chainz though.

Your Apple/bootleg Ipod analogy doesn't make sense because you are comparing something that's copywritten (protected by law) to something that's not.

No, its still a bite. Dont be fooled by the Camel speak, its not "paying homage", its biting.

I could see if it was lyrics like him lifting lyrics from Biggie tracks, but flows aren't really bitten. There's a lot of songs where singers and writers borrow melodies from other songs. It's not really a bite, because those types of things happen without the artist consciously thinking about it. There's plenty of songs where rappers have employed another artist's flow.

this should've been a Beyonce solo. Hov added nothin and it just felt like it was a Beyonce song.

At first I was skipping it but mchg sounds weird when you skip or repeat tracks for some reason. It's one of the first albums that almost forces you to play everything through so not to interrupt the flow. When I started listening to OTR2 it became one of my favorites. It makes it worth even more to me because I'm like they're actually married. It's about them.
