bruh... Fidelity hiring 100+ engineers for their new digital asset division. Imagine thinking one of the biggest investment firms in the world investing that much into a fly-by-night scam. CEO of Fidelity talking about this being her 3rd crypto winter like this bytch already hip and know where this shyt eventually headed. nikkas are dumb af. It's unbelievable

quite aside from question of what they are actually doing and how that relates to this convo (namely BTC) let's consider the finances. a "digital asset division" doesn't mean BTC (etc).

and ...

"The dot-com bubble, also known as the dot-com boom,[1] the tech bubble,[2] and the Internet bubble, was a stock market bubble caused by excessive speculation of Internet-related companies in the late 1990s, a period of massive growth in the use and adoption of the Internet.[2][3]

Between 1995 and its peak in March 2000, the Nasdaq Composite stock market index rose 400%, only to fall 78% from its peak by October 2002, giving up all its gains during the bubble. During the dot-com crash, many online shopping companies, such as Pets.com, Webvan, and Boo.com, as well as several communication companies, such as Worldcom, NorthPoint Communications, and Global Crossing, failed and shut down.[4][5] Some companies that survived, such as Amazon.com, lost large portions of their market capitalization, with Cisco Systems alone losing 80% of its stock value.[6][7]"

So tell me when I rap you think I give a fukk who criticize?

One day I pray to you and said if I ever blow, I'd let 'em know
The stakes, and exactly what takes place in the ghetto
Promise fulfilled, still I feel my job ain't done. Cough up a lung where I’m from Marcy son

Speculative investing is for clowns. Even if you are in the mythical 1%, speculative investing is a poor usage of your funds and time.

There is a difference between investing and speculative investing and if you were truly financially literate you would know that.

Furthermore, my issue is about the utility of this endeavor. There are much better uses for these education funds than tricking people into wasting their money on speculative investments.
You'll never gain wealth with this puzzy mentality. Enjoy your 1% per year gains :hubie:

I'm saying that spending funds on education about crypto currency would be better spent on skills trainings.

And that anyone paying attention could see that.

So the reason I'd imagine someone would do this sort of "education" instead of skills training is greed and self interest.
have you even read what the program is about or did you just get triggered the minute you saw the word crypto? The program will also be teaching them how blockchain works. One of the most in-demand job skills for the past 2 years. I'm at a loss on how you could hate on black people learning new technology that they could start to build careers from, or even just learning about investing, speculative or not. :gucci:

exactly. And the program is teaching both:

A spokesperson for The Bitcoin Academy told TechCrunch that participants will be granted a small amount of Bitcoin, but that the project is intended to be educational. The nature of the program will depend on who signs up — for example, they may host a class in Spanish — and will go over the basics of what cryptocurrency is, how does the blockchain work and how to spot a scam. The teachers aren’t necessarily telling Marcy residents to invest in crypto, but it’s not a stretch to see how that sort of guidance can be implied.

How is teaching black folks in the projects about a future in-demand technology a bad thing again? :what:

1. you have been talking about crypto for years and you still do not understand the technology

2. already answered

so he should move crypto to a section about "the future" and he should add a section to discuss "now" money.
