I remember someone saying blockchain is a "solution looking for a problem" and I feel like that's the best way to sum up crypto. Crypto will always have its niche of anonymous transactions, but everything else it's aiming for is already covered. The tech might not go away, and if the classes were only focused on blockchain tech then that would be cool, but as an investment vehicle? Yeah there are good reasons to believe it may not reach these levels again because all cryptocurrencies are pretty terrible when it comes to actually bring a currency. They're pretty terrible as a store of value too as we can see currently.
