Better than NONE of them and we can run thru it tomorrow...

so lacklustre and boring it's unbelievable

and largely as Vlad alluded to (despite his retardation largely) because his ear for beats is disgusting

how jay is above nas when his best album isn't even top 10 new york album and how biggie above nas when nas' 2 first album's are respectively better than biggies

Because of his versatility.

All of these intricate ass "oh that album was a 9.3" bullshyt means nothing if we are going to be anywhere near objective.

The problem I have with putting NAS ahead of Jay is that NAS is being outworked and out performed by his contemporary. Jay leads Nas in most metrics. This is sad because NAS is one of the best to ever do it he just doesn't seem to have the interest in doing it well as often as Jay has. That matters to me, but I understand why it doesn't matter to others.

Jiggy Jigga looking gully in the joint
If y'all brehs ain't talking bout large money
What's the point?

I forgot about that line :russ:

Well that song is far from "jiggy" to me. It's commercial but I don't think of shiny suits and flashy videos when I hear it.

precise versatility, because to me nas and pac through the course of their career have proven to be more versatile than jay

and it's just not about technica rating of a cd.

jay's best album was like throwing a dagger in the water. nas or biggies best albums were like a tsunami wave, changing the way albums would be done in the future

Let me evaluate their pros and cons, then compare them to Hov's, because this some typical "I hate Camel" fukk nikka shyt. One day you losers praise him like he is Black Jesus, next day same childish ass Camel jokes, do you nikkas watch National Geographic?
:russ:

Cube sucks mostly at punchlines, rhyme schemes and decent flows.
He has some good concepts and is a great storyteller, used to write classic diss tracks. Once Cube reached the 00's his peak potential dipped immediately, face it. As me being a nikka from Cali, anyone with common sense knew what was gonna happen, he went "Straight Into The Hills".

Big seldom evolved across 2 albums, he wasn't actually doing new things in rapping. Stans say he is original and that Jay bit him, but thanked Black Moon for giving him a style to run with in "Ready To Die" album credits.
He was like every other renowned New York Rap artist, get over it, Puffy gassed him long before we all knew he wasn't able to see through the bullshyt and label politics.

Pac is reknown as a storyteller, songwriter and being a great rhymer, nice flows and spiritually heavy delivery. But he had a tendency to repeat himself, and be contradicting as fukk after Death Row.

Scarface is reknown for storytelling and some concepts, that's it.

Nas has 2 good diss tracks, outdated punchlines, but classic storytelling songs and some great concepts. But nikkas acting like Nas hasn't dropped tons of trash or filler either, "Remember The Times" is the most cringe song made from that era.

Here's why Hov always deserves to be Top 5, if not 10 being placed above them in categories they never will make in.

Hov still alive unlike Big and Pac and shown capabilities to change style on numerous projects for long term success. Nas has an unlistenable, and inconsistent discography both musically and artistically outside 4 albums. Pac wasn't well-rounded, despite his iconic status as a songwriter and Rap artist. Scarface isn't even the best storyteller of all the ones you mentioned.

In contrast, Hov has better bars than ALL of them on most of his projects, various rhyme schemes, changed flows on single songs more than they have for entire discographies, gives you new perspectives on stories (Nas seldom does), tons of concepts, delivery has more emotion than Nas, Biggie and Scarface (Cube and Pac have him there). To this day still has lines having you go :ohhh::banderas: decades later.

Do I even gotta mention this nikka's feature and remix game? I dare you to try to compare those other nikkas who aren't praised for that in any way. Please, do and :camby:

How he is not in their league, if not above them? nikka ain't dead yet, Nas still can't give you something different 10 years later, Cube never had street cred and making the:trash: past 3 albums, Scarface is only good at one thing which 100's of emcees are already better than him at. Nas rapping about now shyt y'all Stan him for, Hov been covering over 15 years ago, but whatever you stay complaining about Rap being boring with topics, what is Nas's excuse?

You don't hear them rapping over new production styles either (when Nas, Cube or Scarface tries it sounds terrible), or trying to advance their craft in other ways.

Not gonna lie, Hov has had his down moments like they have too, but you tripping if you think he don't have a well aged discography, with a natural curve sensibly declining in quality.

He also didn't get played by Puffy or Suge, won most of his beefs, is a constant inspiration for even New generation of rappers, Nas signed to him when he was Def Jam president and Cube went onto make Hollywood movies.

Recently, he just bought all his masters, excluding RD!

But he ain't TOP TIER to you basic nikkas?

:huhldup::russ:

@Inspect Her Deck and I thought RG's casual fanbase was bad at debating GOAT's in Rap. Coli secretly hates this nikka for embodying everything they wanted in a "Real Rap artist" and even did it commercially, still no respect.

Everything you nikkas hate about Rap now, how many times has Hov saved it or at least delayed it? With no thanks to Nas's trend-hopping ass, Puffy's opulence and shark nikka ways, Pac's obsession with gang ties, Big's need to overcompensate the same subject matter that plagues stagnant growth for New York today for the sake of "realness", Scarface not taking risks at all for the South, etc.
A lot of this is wrong.
