The fact that people think Drake needs to be taken down speaks volumes. This sounds exactly like Republicans saying Trump needed to be stopped. Statements like that are defeatist statements because it says that you don't have the power to do it, so you're calling on someone else to do the work for you. Then you realize that the person you're propping up to be the hero isn't capable of doing it either.

Jay Z destroying Drake in a lyrical battle isn't going to do much to a rapper whose fan base doesn't care about bars. Even if they buy into Drake being some kind of GOAT, it isn't because he was saying anything that was GOAT worthy. These are the fans who salivated over those elementary hashtag punchlines he was droppin' in 2009-2011.

There's only two things that will stop Drake: time and somebody else that takes Drake's spot.

Nah, real talk my guy ...Drizzy would body Em.

Matter of fact, how do I file the paperwork to put the Larry fade on Em?

Have you been living under a rock breh? Did you not just see Drake kiss his converse in front of everybody after somebody said that he JOKINGLY had a diss ready for Eminem? Em is one of the few people with a fanbase as deranged and obsessive as Drake's and the reaction on social media when that rumor came out did not play out in Drakes favor.

He'd bar him out and his cac-base would turn on him, shyt they already did :heh:

Nas, Jay Z, and Kendrick. Those are the only 3 because they are contemporary enough and have the skill to do so
I would bet on Cole before Nas and Kendrick just off the fact that he has the back up fanbase that will support him thru it. Nas wouldn't garner the support of the pop crowd like that.

J Cole is OK and average at best IMO; but I don't see that kind of fire in him at all :manny:

1. If this is what I think it is, Budden goes into how "two birds, one stone" implies that he was getting at Push and Jay with the drug dealer rap diss. He's gotta tag him for that.

2. Secondly, for those that think Jay is too "old" or busy for rap beef, he already been throwing shots...if you think he won't be throwing more on his album when it comes out you're fukking crazy. They might not be all out, naming names but they will be blatant. And whatever friction there is between Jay and that fraud you best believe that it's as much Jimmy vs Jay underneath the surface.

3. Rap beef's/battles don't "end" careers. What happens is, rappers who would otherwise hitting a down trend are more vulnerable to public perception if they lose a battle. But if they are still viable commercially, ain't no "ether" strong enough to keep broads from buying his records if they are still hittin. Drake has peaked clearly, but for all intents and purposes he is Iovine's new golden goose, he will be protected at all costs.

Even still, with the ghost writing shyt, the lackluster reviews for "views" and him trying to posture himself like a bully in front of these soft millennial p*ssy made fans that he's been able to bank off of...it would be the perfect time to kick over that first domino and accelerate whatever fall off is happening. Kinda like 50 did Ja...he was still able to sell some records after that ordeal but he had played himself out, 50 just put the stamp on his Larry Holmes application.

Same thing happened to 50 when Ross came along...Ross ain't end him, but he collided with a ship that was already sinking and kept afloat so public perception is that it was his doing. Jay, having his legacy set in stone CAN'T really lose anything from engaging Drake. He won't be able to "end" him but what he could do is, assuming this is his last or at least one of his last projects is look like he had a hand in him losing steam on his way out the game.

Yea but that's an opinion. If J Cole came out dissin the fukk outta Drake instead of Meek it wouldve been a different outcome. Cole's fanbase wouldn't turn on him like that. This is facts.
