This is exactly why I put him up there as the best or top 3

He don’t go on interviews telling these story’s

Others do

High profile stars tell these stories

Scarface goes on club Shay Shay and tells the stories

Buckshot Bernadette and dru ha goes on podcast and interviews and tell the story’s

Ras Kass tells the story

Mic Geronimo tells the drunk story

Dehaven Calvin Klein choke Oshino those that hate him tells the story’s and they low key understand why he moved away from them

They really just want another chance to be around him

:pachaha:

Busta tells high school stories about him

crazy I read this, then hopped on instagram and saw a clip of a (I guess) recent Shyne interview where he's telling a story about when Bad Boyz hit...

and the whole highlight of the story for him is Hov walking up to him in a club and giving him a dap and telling him good job.

Hov is prolly the only artist that....

When I think about my favorite/GOAT MCs, and I just instinctively blurt them out? He's not on that list.

But I've listened to a shyt ton of Hov's music. And every time I revisit his music, I'm like "Why don't I have him in my top 5!?
:ohhh:"

So I guess if we use "who's revered by their peers" as a metric, Hov really one of the GOAT of GOATs.

That could be a thread in itself, right. "GOATs of GOATs: Your favorite rappers' favorite rappers."

Even tho Jay is a Mastermind unlike any other, he couldn't control all the pawns on his chess board. Hence him getting sucked into Memphis Bleek imaginary beef with Nas that became real real quick.

Yeah, he let Bleek get him caught up. Especially when it was clear Jay was a fan of Nasir. shyt was goofy. Just glad it didn't end ignorant like other beefs.

Big L and Biggie said Jay was better than them. Even 50 said it

:wow:
do you have a valid source for these claims beyond gossip/hearsay? i remember that moron r.a. the retarded man said biggie told him HE was the illest, only for that magazine interview with BIG to eventually surface where BIG clowned him :pachaha:

now jay-z is actually talented, so i'll consider it a possibility, but i'd love to see print/video of L or BIG saying this about jay

otherwise it just sounds like some chatty patty shyt to me. i dont think that fu-schnikens shyt impressed BIG or L, though he was doing a new style by 95. clearly L and BIG respected him enough to have them on their albums, but i'd like more proof.

Exactly, at least Jay's verses with Big were dope. That feature on L's album is complete garbage/debatable worst verse on the song.

Huh? Jay and Nas been taking shots at each other since the 90's. One of the first I remember is Nas saying "Lex with tv sets the minimum" on "The Message" in '96 after Jay had the GS300 with tv sets in the Dead Presidents video. Then of course there was the Carmen sh!t.
