I have problems with Roc Nation but they aren’t the big problem. The problem is he signed a bad deal with Ross and is stuck. Roc Nation is kind of like the Island Of Misfit Toys. They collect a bunch of artists stuck in bad business deals or situations, and they spend time/money getting you out of it. Then they recoup on the back end by putting you to work. Any layup they can throw to Meg, no matter how corny/embarrassing (Popeyes), they’re giving to her. Because the more shots she takes, the more they eat.

The way this album dropped with no promo makes me wonder if it’s the last one on the MMG deal. Quick exit then next year you drop the comeback album, Drake single etc. Regardless I feel like the “Meek bag” has been fumbled. He was supposed to be more than a street rapper. They clearly wanted him to transcend with the criminal justice reform shyt, the rich friends, etc. Instead he’s out here doing Durk karaoke.
